Arrival at the Half Century Mark

Today is my birthday. Not just any birthday either. Today I turn 50 and I am loving it !  

There was a time when I would have run from the thought of being 50 and feeling old. There was a time when I worried that I might be viewed as old, outdated, obsolete, and even a little antediluvian.

There was a time when what other people said behind my back mattered to me.

Then last year I did something I have wanted to do for 30 years. I went back to College to finish what I started 30 years ago. It meant starting over and starting at the humbling beginnings. It meant taking math classes I had passed in Jr. High but had forgotten how to do. It meant a wonderful opportunity sit in an English class and discover how much I remembered.

Today is my birthday and I am just getting started Baby  :D
